EMERGENCY TREATMENT

Patients with emergencies will be treated promptly.

COSMETIC DENTISTRY

A beautiful smile can brighten your life every day, professionally and socially. And unlike plastic surgery, cosmetic dentistry isn't a major operation. Imagine coming in for a single appointment or two, and emerging with the smile you've always wanted...no pain, no strain, no time taken away from your busy life. The results are immediate and dramatic. There are many ways we can give you a youthful, attractive, natural looking smile!

Dental Veneers

Today at Jeffrey Leibowitz DDS we have exciting new biomaterials that can give your smile a lift without invasive treatments.

We can use ultra-thin porcelain veneers to correct chipped, weakened, or discolored teeth. No more yellow. No more gaps or embarrassing chips. And our veneers can return real structural integrity to damaged teeth, while leaving them looking as good (or possibly better) than the originals.

At Jeffrey Leibowitz DDS, your veneers are custom made to fit over your natural teeth, with a finish more translucent to blend in with surrounding teeth. So people will simply see your beautiful, natural smile.

Tooth Whitening

Wherever you look, teeth are white, white, white. Now we can brighten your smile with powerful whitening treatments that lighten discolorations caused by coffee, cigarettes, medication, or aging. You'll notice the difference immediately...and so will everyone else in the Astoria area.

We will custom fit you for a tray containing whitening gel quickly and easily in your initial visit, then you will continue treatments in your home until your teeth are as bright as you want.

Porcelain Crowns

Crowns, or caps for teeth, look and function just like natural teeth. We may recommend a crown if your tooth has enough decay that it cannot hold a filling, or if your tooth is cracked or broken and in danger of cracking down into the root if left unattended. A crown covers your tooth completely. It fits snugly at the gum and protects what remains of the natural tooth.

We may recommend a bridge be utilized to replace one or more teeth. These restorations are cemented onto the teeth and are referred to as "fixed" dentistry as opposed to a restoration of missing teeth with a removable appliance or partial denture.

Dental Implants

If you are missing one or more teeth, you'll want replacements that are as natural as possible. If dentures don't work for you, you may consider dental implants. Unlike dentures, which can be removed, implants are permanently anchored into the jaw itself.

Usually we feel you are a good candidate for implants if you have jawbone ridges that are in good shape and healthy oral tissues. When the implant device is inserted into the jaw, a chemical and mechanical bond is formed. The jawbone actually grows into the implant.

Dental Bonding

The term "dental bonding" describes a dental procedure that is used for various purposes. Tooth-colored composite resins are applied to teeth for cosmetic reasons, to repair cracked and chipped teeth, protect exposed tooth roots against decay, or restore decayed teeth.
